We provide many services in the office that might help our established patients avoid long waits at the emergency room. We treat burns, and evaluate and treat many injuries such as sprains and fractures. We have space available every day for urgent problems - in fact, over one third of our appointment slots are reserved each day in order to accommodate the urgent care needs of our patients. Even so, there may be days when even all of these appointment slots become filled.
For truly urgent/emergent medical problems that arise when the office is closed (and cannot wait until the office re-opens), a provider is on call seven days a week, 24 hours a day and can be reached by calling the regular office phone number.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since we strive to act with our patient's best health interest in mind, it is generally our office policy NOT to treat conditions or prescribe medications over the phone - there are exceptions and if you are having a truly urgent or emergent medical problem while the office is closed, we DO encourage you to contact the on-call provider.
